Our heart for Missions

At Jesus House, missions are at the core of who we are. We believe in living out the Great Commission, where Jesus calls us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20). This command is not just about spreading the Gospel but also about serving and loving others in practical ways.

We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing His love and message to the ends of the earth. Missions provide us the opportunity to make a lasting impact, both spiritually and physically, as we work to build up disciples who will carry on the work of the Kingdom.

  • Dominican Republic Missions Trip 2024

    Jesus House’s first international missions trip was a huge success! We stepped out in faith to follow Jesus’ Great Commission.

    “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” – Mark 16:15

    Our Jesus House missions team will be joined the Diamond Project traveled to the Dominican Republic, so we could share the love of Jesus and stand up for those whose voices have been silenced. They ministered to the world's most vulnerable children and young people, fighting against human trafficking, exploitation, and extreme poverty.

    Jesus loves, values, and desires all children to be protected and come to Him. We prayed for financial support and God answered through you. We raised $5,300 to send our team of four and sent over 100 pounds of donated items that had been requested to support children and young women escape human trafficking.

    So often we think of human trafficking as kidnapping. Our team was shocked to learn that many of these women had been trafficked and abused in their own homes, where they should be safe.

    Thank you for partnering with us to make a difference in the lives of children and young people in the Dominican Republic. Together, we can spread the gospel and bring the love of Jesus to those in need.

  • Jesus House Gospel Outreach

    Jesus House has a strong commitment to being transformed and fully surrendered to Him. We believe in the calling of all Christ followers to the work of service for God’s glory (1 Corinthians 15:58; Ephesians 4:12; Revelation 22:12). As such, ministry and serving others, is a reflection of Jesus through compassion and community outreach.

    We actively engage in various programs which address local community needs. We want to show our heart for ministry in how we prioritize building relationships within the community, fostering a sense of belonging and support.

    In addition to local outreach, Jesus House emphasizes the importance of missions trips, encouraging members to participate in initiatives that extend their impact beyond Ocala. These trips provide opportunities to serve in different communities, share their faith, and build connections with people from diverse backgrounds.

    Through our missions work, we partner with organizations like The Diamond Project to minister to vulnerable children, fight against exploitation, and address the needs of those living in extreme poverty.

    We strive to be the light of Jesus by embodying a spirit of service, to make a positive difference both locally and globally.
